Pro trading - Order types

1. Sell orders (portfolio management)

Term & goal Function & example
Take-profit
Secure profits
Sells 1 affiliate when its value rises above a fixed price.
Example: Value 100 €, take-profit at +20 %. Sell at ≥ 120 €.
Trailing stop-loss
Let profits run & limit losses
The stop price trails the highs automatically. Sells when value falls from the last high by a defined distance.
Example: Value 100 €, trailing stop 15 %. Stop mark is 85 €. If value rises to 120 €, stop mark is adjusted to 102 € (120 € - 15 %).
Criteria-based sale
Clean & manage portfolio
Scans your entire portfolio and sells affiliates that meet defined criteria. Can be static or dynamic.
Static example: "Sell all affiliates whose success is below 10 %."
Dynamic example: "Sell all affiliates whose value has dropped by 10 % or more since yesterday." (portfolio stop-loss)
Stop-limit sale
Sale with price guarantee
If value falls to the stop price, a limit order is activated. Sell only if price does not fall below the limit price.
Example: Stop at 90 €, limit at 89 €. At 90 € the sell order becomes active, but executes only if achievable price ≥ 89 €. Protects against value loss.

Order limitations

To ensure a clean trading strategy, the following limitations apply:

2. Buy orders

Term & goal Function & example
Limit buy
Price-aware buying
Buys affiliates from the market whose ask price is at or below a set limit. Can be combined with criteria (e.g. minimum value).
Example: "Buy 5 affiliates for max. 1.50 € each."
Market buy
Buy as fast as possible
Buys immediately at the best currently available price from the market, as long as optional criteria (e.g. minimum success) are met.
Stop-limit buy
Buy with price guarantee
If value rises to the stop price, a limit order is activated. Buy only if price does not exceed the limit price.
Example: Stop at 110 €, limit at 111 €. At 110 € the buy order becomes active, but executes only if price ≤ 111 €.
